This type of weather is very vague as night time and 65 degrees is very common for most people on this planet but for some reason they like to stand behind this argument as if every back up camera on the planet suffers from the same symptoms. I noticed right away that at night, the camera images (front, back, and sides) are very blurry and washed out at night. About two weeks prior to this my backup camera became fuzzy/Staticky. I tried cleaning the lens but that didn't help at all. My wife's Cherokee back-up camera went very blurry, starting out with just the edges and kept getting worse. After cleaning and verifying no external problems, I was thinking I had internal moisture contamination???

The dealer said my backup camera needs replacing.

It works, but it could be much higher resolution, clearer, better contrast and color, good nighttime clarity, etc. I removed the camera, which was a pain in the xxx, and removed the back plate of the camera which had a good rubber O-ring seal. The backup camera is functional in that it senses obstacles and I can tell what is in the frame but it is like the camera is just slightly out of focus. Do I have a faulty camera? My wife has a '16 Outback and the camera on it is crystal clear.

It seems it is some kind of interference but can not figure it out. That been said I know what you mean about night backup camera - it's due to low light and sensor is way too small to capture image in sharp crisp resolution - hence that fuzzy image. They didn’t since they are getting a new camera. Cameras are clean. I picked up my 2015 luxury Escalade on November 15 after a very long wait.

I've noticed some people complaining about their backup cameras but I'm not sure if mine is worse. Backup camera blurry. Just a heads up to anyone that has this static problem, it was caused by a cell phone charger in the console port. I know my 2015 edge doesn't do this, nor does my wifes 2013 Q50 or any other car that has a back up camera that i've been in. Is there a way to make the camera better or any upgrade for the camera? I came from an Acadia Denali which actually had very good image quality. Every once in a while at night it is clear then goes fuzzy. Love the car, the only problem is that the camera at night looks dark/blurry. I asked them to put in the LED bulbs I ordered. Okay during the day but barely usable at night. There’s a number of reasons a backup camera might get foggy, blurry, or otherwise obscured. If I turn the auto headlight feature off it makes no difference.

So much so that it is basically useless. Not the usb ones but the 12 volt charger port.
